RECOGNISED RELATIONSHIPS

Marriage as a concept as for centuries has been between a man and a woman.

The push by the Gay Lobby for marriage to be other than that, contrary to vested interest, I believe is abhorrent to the vast majority.

An alternative is to create a "Recognised Relationship" (RR) for those who want formal acknowledgement as a couple.

The intent of RR would be to engender the same legal rights as marriage.

Instead of Divorce, a “Recognised Relationship Termination” (RRT) with the same legal outcome could be adopted.

Surely something like this would preserve current sentiment, yet allow a recognised form of union for those who feel they must.
