SENATE VOTING CHANGES - DICE LOADED
Changes to the voting system for the Senate effectively have loaded the dice in favour of the major parties,
that is the Liberals, Labour and Greens.
It appears to me Voting above the line could mean that your preferences may not be recognised.
Part of the change had the objective of countering the effect of minor party preferencing, but the changes
have gone further.
Independent Candidates are severely handicapped unless they are selected as the prime candidate
[1] below the line or are a secondary preference to a candidate with [1] below the line.
The only way to truly exercise YOUR choice is to vote 'below the line'.
